Billed as an ‘adventurer’s dream’, Butlins at Minehead offers everything you need for a fun-filled holiday taking in both coast and countryside.

Summer beach activities like volleyball and Speedminton give the resort a true flavour of the seaside, while tricks and turns aplenty are in store at its themed adventure golf course, which will tax your obstacle-avoiding skills to their limit.

The kids will love seeing Titan, the resort’s 10ft robot, as he prowls and dances his way through the streets – and there’s a whole host of other children’s characters on hand, including Barney the purple dinosaur, Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam, Pingu and lots more.

Older children and teenagers can try their hand at climbing one of the resort’s quirky 26ft ‘palm trees’, or give activities like archery, fencing and bungee trampolining a try. There’s also an exciting adventure play area with its rope bridges, forts and dark tunnels to keep the imagination buzzing.

And of course the live music and entertainment never stops at Butlins, with Minehead as no exception. Rock shows, variety performances wrestling, Cartoon Network capers and pantomimes are among the stage bonanzas you can enjoy – and there are adults-only music weekends throughout the season.

Accommodation ranges from simple and tidy bronze grade to the more home-from-home feel of a gold apartment with your own dedicated host to help you settle in – and of course once your tummy starts to rumble you can head out for a full breakfast, a burger or any of the delicious meals available at the resort’s restaurants and bars.
